LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Police are investigating following a pursuit that ended with a flipped car Monday afternoon.

According to police, a license plate reader camera detected a stolen vehicle, and Georgetown police pursued it into Lexington.

The chase reportedly ended when the vehicle crashed into a light pole near the Speedway in the 1000 block of Georgetown Road and flipped.

Authorities said a 17-year-old male was detained and is expected to be charged with:

First-degree fleeing and evading Wanton endangerment Receiving stolen property over $10,000
